Eric was the first chair All-State trombonist for the state of Texas 1997-1998 school year.  He received a full scholarship to Baylor University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Trombone Performance.  Then was awarded a full scholarship to attend the University of Michigan and received a Master's degree in Trombone Performance.

After teaching lessons for a year, he went through teacher qualification and has been teaching both Junior High and High School level students for 11 years.

He has worked with every single brass, woodwind, and percussion instrument in his time as a band director, but definitely enjoys brass.  He is a self-taught guitarist, but his musical education helps him to teach others.  He enjoys helping lead worship on occasion at our home church.
